Well done. The IMT documents are especially useful for those of us who can not get to a research library. I teach history at a university, and I will suggest that my students visit this site. I would be happy to answer any questions regarding the Nazi era, especially questions pertaining to the Nuremberg Trial. I leave you with this quotation from Benjamin Franklin:

"Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are."

I am 40 yers old and raised as Lutheran. Thank you for teaching me, in one afternoon, more than I had EVER learned in school about the Holocaust. I apologize for my ignorance of not researching this topic earlier in life, I only knew of this as a tragic event promulgated by a sick megalomaniac. I now see what tragic memories must be carried in the minds of a whole generation of people, and the unanswered question of "What could have been made with these productive lives?" had the millions of Jews killed been allowed to live, just as every human should be. I have recently met a girl whose grandfather narrowly escaped death from a Nazi SS, and it finally dawned on me that if he had NOT escaped that night, under a haystack, with the point of a pitchfork stopping a millimeter away from his head, that this beautiful young lady would not be here today to tell me this story. It is impossible for me to imagine what pain must still exist to this day in the hearts and minds of those families who lost loved ones during the Holocaust. I praise this site as an education, but only the tip of the iceberg has been uncovered for me: I plan on learning more. Praise also is in order for the Internet as the forum for all who is interested, knowledge is only 1 click away! What if everybody was this inter-connected back in 1933-1945? But with all this focus on yesterday, let us not forget the power (and duty) every one of us has to shape TODAY into a better day.

Thank you for refusing to let this issue fade, and for fighting against the horror of holocaust-denial.

We are using this site for PSE projects with Sixth form groups and it has been excellent for highlighting awareness of these atrocities.

I am not a Jew, I used to be a Christian, but do not pratisce any form of religion now. I looked your homepage up because I wanted to find out more about the slave labour used by the Germans, specifically by Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volkswagen. I was born 13 years after the war ended, yet I canoot bring myself to buy or use German products, as the Holocaust is a passionate and emotional point for me.

My father is a Holocaust survivor, and he recently documented his experiences on videotape for the Steven Spielberg Shoah Foundation. There are few remaining survivors and it is important that their testimonies be recorded so everyone can know of the atrocities committed. Hopefully, future generations will unite to say "Never again."

I recently had occasion to personally meet two holocaust survivors. They were both very kind and loving people. During our meeting, they shared a memory with me of their horrible encounter. When the gentleman rolled up his shirtsleeve to expose a number which had been tatooed on his forearm while imprisoned at Auschwitz, feelings surfaced in me I never knew existed. It was very hard to hold back tears at that moment. I will never forget these two people.

As a teacher of Holocaust history, I am deeply impressed with what your site has to offer. It is an exceptional historical resource, and one that I intend to incorporate into the classroom workings this spring when I offer my Holocaust History course to seniors and postgraduates at Worcester Academy. Keep up the good work.

Well done ! I can not believe there are people who deny that these terrible events occured. Since my own father's death my mother has been giving me things of his. The latest was a book of photographs that he sent home to his parents from his service in World War 2. Amoung the pictures are several from Dachau. The picture are real and so where the horrors that was Nazi Germany. The world must not forget. The world can not allow it to happen again.

I am involved with teaching the Holocaust to both University students and pupils in schools. Your project looks very interesting and I would like to find out more about it. Do you have any contacts in England? I have submitted a PhD on 'The Holocaust in education: teacher and learner perspectives' and have started to offer courses to teachers. I would be interested to link with your project.

I am a young girl of the age of twelve. I have been studying the Holocaust for about five months now and it is a subject which has grasped my deepest interest. I have written a full story of a Jewish girl in the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in 1944.

It is my greatest intention to continue my studies and I think that this site along with many others has helped me along my way.

Congragulations on an excellent web site.

I'm now 28, but I first became interested in WWII history, particularly that of the Holocaust when I was about 14. Resources such as these are tremendously valuable in helping the curious find out more on the subject -- and often turn the merely curious into the deeply moved.

What continually startles me is that there actually are people who refuse to believe that the Holocaust occured. When confronted with photographs and those who have suffered, how can they NOT believe it?

My heart goes out to those who have suffered, and I pray that such things never happen again.

MY SON AND I VENTURED INTO YOUR SITE. THANK YOU. WHEN I ASKED MY 14 YEAR OLD SON WHAT HE THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT HE LEARNED HERE, HE SAID "THE HATRED AMONG THE RACES IS WHY THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPEN, IT HAS TO STOP". I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU THINK A COMMENT LIKE THAT MEANS COMING FROM A YOUNG MAN OF 14, BUT I BELEIVE OUR CHILDREN ARE LEARNING FROM OUR MISTAKES AND THAT GIVES ME HOPE FOR A PEACEFUL FUTURE. GOD HELP US ALL IF NOT. THANK YOU AGAIN.

Although a thank you seems to not be a congratulatory statement that can be applied to a site of this nature, these resources provide a valuable insight for those of us, from the older generations who lived it, to the younger generations who rely on vast resources (such as this), to learn the truth of the Jewish Holocaust, so that it will happen "never again." I plan on doing my independent study for both English and History on the Holocaust, and although I knew it was an exhaustive topic, I didn't realize how exhaustive it will actually become. Thanks to sites such as this, my task is that much easier.

Every effort to teach about the Holocaust and its evil effects are welcomed. Coming from a Latin American background, my ancestors were part of another human massacre, another mass genocide - the conquest of America, where millions of indigenous people were killed "in the name of God". I'm a Christian with an open conscience of our Jew side. That conscience is what should make every Christian weep before the atrocities committed in the Holocaust. Watching the movie "Schindler's list" triggered that jewish side in me, as well as taking one semester of Hebrew. I think words are not enough, but the educational efforts are worth a lifetime. Remember Yom HaShoah!

I just visited your pages, and was most impressed with the volume of documentation available there. There is every need for this information to be available to all - Jews and non-Jew alike.

I leave this message in memory of Herbert (Finkelstein) Fraser, who spent three months in Dachau, before migration to Britain.

When I was in the eleventh grade my English teacher said that if we went and saw "Shindler's List" we would receive extra credit. I made a mistake in that I went by myself. I left drenched in tears shed for people I never even knew yet loved. After that I started my own reseach and found some startling facts. One thing is that many people do not realize that the Jewish people have been persecuted for several centuries before this sinful era called the holocaust. Another thing that amazes me is that so many people my age(21 yrs) that I've mentioned this to have no idea at all what I am talking about. That scares and shocks me to no end! It has been said that we must not forget or else it could be repeated, well many do not even know about it! Looking around the world today are all kinds of unknown battles raging through time and just one of these could lead to another holocaust. For those who don't believe this even happened just turn to the Bible for the true world history and future, your eyes will be opened. All who read this please say a prayer so this shall never happen again. God Bless You All!

Out of all of the events in history, I find the Holocaust the most facinating. I cannot believe that there are some people who actually deny that it ever existed.

Pray for those who have suffered and died. Pray for those who deny it.

Hopefully history will learn from it's mistakes and never, NEVER repeat again.
