May the world never forget the horrors of Nazi Germany. Mans inhumanity to man is sometimes uncomprehensible.

TAllis ...

i consider your comment "even America" when saying that every country in the world wishes for world domination very strange indeed.

America are the most obvious country throughout the world who aim for world domination. Although you do not show any plans for takin over other countries, your politics have been infilterated into other societies. You faught the cold war to spread, not your territory but your ideals. You like to think of yourselves as being the only strong nation standing alone above everyone else. Take a look a China. You have a different kind of world domination which you have been striving towards since WW2. It is the domination of reliance, you make it clear that all countries are very small compared to you and are very keen to tackle poverty in foriegn countries but are too blind to see the poverty on your own doorsteps. i agree with your comments on past leaders but not all countries wish for global domination of the military sort.

The political position of your nation is no longer dictated by the might of your military (although it obviously comes in handy) but by the strength of your industry. The strength of your trade. The foreign policies of the developed world echo this in that they are no longer about the amount of military aggression but on how trade links can be established and furthered. Politicians are more likely to be negotioating trade links than peace deals now. There are very few countries throughout the world who would elect anyone who was outlining plans of expansion as hitler did when he came to power.

Have you also thought of the situation in russia today and not only what the germans did in the past? That situation is almost like that 60 years ago, but without any killings. But the jews are also hunted there, and nobody cares for. Think about it.

As a small child during WW-2, even safe in my warm bed at night, I was frightened that Hitler would come and hurt me.

As an adult and scholar of WW-2 history, the atrocities of the Holocaust haunt me.

The rise of the young "Neo-Nazi" movement sickens me.

Will we ever learn to live together in peace and harmony?

Patricia C. Kimmerling, Cherokee Co., Alabama

The rise of the young "Neo-Nazi" groups is sickening. These young people seem to have no idea of the consequences of their mind-set.

Your site is so informative. My A level project is 'can the Holocaust be denied?'

Any appropriate information you may have would be extremely helpful.

Thank you very much,

Even though the holocaust was before my time, it is still very much a part of our lives. It's our history, our past, and we need to remember for our own sakes, as well as our children's, and their children, to ensure that "never again". My mother is Jewish, and I keep this in mind always, that had she been born in Europe at that time, she might have suffered the same fate. I thank you for having such a wonderful and informative site so that we make always remember.

We must separate bias from statement if we wish to retain the impact necessary. Future generations will not listen otherwise. Is it enough for those who suffered to carry this message?

No. Accuracy and memory are our weapons. Only those who wish to speak with clear historical voice. We must adhere to this, or we are no better.

I dont even know where to start, what I do know is that so much hurt and pain is associated with the holocaust. It goes beyond words of any description and seems to affect me in several ways. I am not jewish nor are any of my family but the horrible sufferings that were endured by this great people(gods chosen)sicken and even enrage me. I know that we cant change the past but my sincere hope is that we remember what happened so we can be sure to stand up to this kind of HATE. The future is not set,but as long as I live I will remember and I will try to pass on my feelings and beliefs. to any survivor or family members of survivors I just want you to know how much your suffering has touched me. I know that is not much consolation but I pray god will give you the peace you need for each day.My heart is with you. god bless.

I HATE ADOLF HITLER AND WHAT HE DID BUT WE MUST REMEMBER THAT HE IS A PRODUCT OF THIS SOCIETY AND WE CAN'T JUST LAY ALL THE BLAME AT HIS DOOR ALONE, HIS PARENTS, HIS ENVIRONMENT (SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL) ALL HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT.

REACTIONS?

the web site was sick. not in an insulting way but in the way that to see the truth right in front of my eyes made me sick. i think that hitler is the anti-christ and what he did is completely wrong. i think that no person should want something so bad that they would kill millions of people to obtain that goal. that is just not right. when i see the pictures and i here the stories i feel deeply affected by it. even thought i am not jewish and none of my family was involved in that horrid situation, i still feel the pain as if i lived it. it breaks my heart and more than likey alot others in the world to see all those helpless people get treated like dirt get beaten and then killed. no one should have to go through something like that at all. well one person should and we all know who that is (hitler). people are gods children and only god has the right to decide the time in which it is for someone to die. people like hitler are going to rott in hell for all eternity and knowing that takes some of the emense pain that i feel. just thinking about how bad i feel and i am not even jewish just has me think of all the pain the loved ones of those people are suffering. it is not right and i dont know how many times i can say that but no matter how many times i do say that it still wont change the past. i just hope that that is not what is in store for us in the future. i hope that we finally learned from all those deaths. and i am also in disgust know the fact that the u.s. did some thing similar to that with the asian or was it the vietnames people i cant remember right now but anyway the u.s. put them in the concentration camps and treated them badly like the nazis did with the jews. i just hope that never happens again.

First of all I must say "Thank You" to whomever created this site. My beloved father, Istvan Endre Kovats (1938-1995) somehow survived this whole ordeal. He never disclosed any details. Now I know why. My sister & myself were forbade to learn these details.

I'm very interested in learning more. I am gathering details about my fathers family and their status before the invasion. If anyone feels they may have helpful information in this quest, please e-mail me. I am doing this not only for myself, but for him. He tried too hard to put this out of his mind.

Bless you dad, I miss you. If you handn't had the strengh, I would have never seen life. I love you.

Hittler, a man that the world considers EVIL. Was he a truely a evil person or did he just take glorious military actions that GREAT leaders in the past had taken. He wanted world domination, so did Ceasar and Alexander the Great ect. These are the actions that makes him no different to Ceasar and Alexander.

We wouldn't consider these glorious leaders as evil, we say there heroes. But are they? Hittler wanted Germany to be the seperior race, so did other past leaders like Genghis Khan.

I'm in the 10th grade and I have written this comment to say that Hittler was a ordinary leader who wanted world domination. Every nation on planet earth wants world domination. Even America. It is only human to want your race to be superior from others, I would wish that the Arabs conqured the world, so would every other Arab human.

Hittler, was truely EVIL? Or did he take actions that past so-called "heroes" would have taken, but in the wrong century?

I desperatley need to get hold of a copy of a ceratin picture taken after the Allies pushed back the NAzi's and discovered all the concentration camps for sunday the 17th

It is of a bulldozer pushing hundreds of bodies across the yard, i think that it was taken at auschwitz. It would be a big help if anyone could send me either a URL which would be helpful or even the complete picture.

this is for a school project for which i had to chose a shocking image which had changed the way that the world thought of something. The photo that i have in mind is probably one of the most brutal images i have ever seen. If anyone could send me anything else that could help me with this i would be extremely grateful.

Since my visit to the fallen but not forgotten of the camp and city of Dachau in June of '93, I have added a new family member. Someday I will add this new family member to the Signature Book of the Christian Peoples Monument of Dachau, or will allow him to sign for himself. Regardless of his choice to believe or shun the reality of this monument, I am now giveing my word as an American that I will teach him all I know of the city and happenings between the years of '32 and '45.

I love it. I think this is a great Website to show all those idiots out there that still insist that the holocaust didn't happen, that it did.

They need to realise that this world is not the perfect hateless place they imagine it to be. We were a disgrace then and we always will be, because of our past. If things end up leading to such events as the holocaust it proves we are a petty group of human beings.

Though not related, my 'Uncle Louis' served his apprenticeship with my father as engineers in the shipping industry with John G. Kinkaid. At sea during the war as an engineer in the engine room of ships he was torpedoed three times. He has now passed away but I still feel guilty at the way his religion was treated though I wasn,t born until 1939. I can still recall my father and uncle louis when they both happened to be at home at the same time (after the war) talking about their experiences. I hope nothing like that ever happens again.

I have met with an SS and worked beside him ...

I have harassed him many times as he worked as head of a camp in Germany... this man had many stories and quite the tales. He was forced to commit crimes he didn't wish to do, but as a result, it changed his life and his whole outlook. I see this happening to people nowadays as back then when Hitler was able to change people's lives and what they even thought. A brain wash of his own people. Absolute power over them. Quite the feat. However, this site seems mainly pointed towards Jews and how they were killed. As I've learned from talking with this SS and just joking around with him, is that in reality, he said he, and many other camps and outfits killed many more Pollocks than Jews. I was wondering if there was more information on this. Unfortunatly, this man is dead and gone and no more information is available from him {obviously} :)

So... plz let me know.
