Georges and Madeleine AKAR were deported on convoy 71 of April 13, 1944, with their five children: Jeanne, born on July 26, 1931, in Silmont; Lise, September 16, 1934, in Bar-le-Duc (Meuse); Hélène, October 8, 1937, in Bar-le-Duc; Jean, June 19, 1941, in Bar-le-Duc; and François, December 19, 1943, in Silmont, where the family lived.
