 There were nine
children in the BAUM family. They lived at 30 avenue Marceau in Drancy.
All were arrested with their parents during the Vel d'Hiv roundup. The two
oldest, ages 15 and 16, were set free by policemen who told them: "You have
been in school a long time so you are French." The seven others were deported
										in 1942: Anna, 14, Joseph, 12, Charles, 9, Robert,
6, and Simone, 3, on convoy 25 of
										August 28; Esther, 11, on convoy 34
of September 18; and Suzanne, 16, on convoy
										35 of September 21.
