Jean FROHLICH, age 15, was deported on April 13, 1944, on convoy 71 with his parents, Raoul and Jeanne, and his sisters Françoise, 18, and Claude, 16, the latter arriving at Auschwitz on her birthday. They had been arrested in Sarlat (Dordogne) where they had taken refuge at 11 bd. Voltaire. Nadine, a friend of Françoise Frohlich, found a picture of her: "She was in the Math. section at the Sarlat lycée. She was a kind friend and a good student and my sister remembers that she was always knitting, like her mama, to earn money. They were not at all rich and lived in their little house built on the ramparts of Sarlat."
