Five of the eight MALAMOUT children were deported. All were born in Paris and lived at 36 rue des Rosiers (4th arr.): Micheline, age 17; Salomon, 15; Georges, 12; Lucien, 3; and the baby, Hélène, who was almost 6 months old. They were deported on convoy 37 of September 25, 1942. Their parents had been deported before them. No picture of Hélène remains. In the photograph of Lucien when still a baby, he is surrounded by Suzanne, Michel, and Bernard, his three siblings who escaped deportation.
