Jacqueline MORGENSTERN was born in Paris on May 26, 1932. She was deported with her parents, Karl and Suzanne, on convoy 74 of May 20, 1944, after having been arrested in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne). Selected at Auschwitz, she was sent to the Neuengamme camp, where, like Georges-André KOHN (page 886), she was subjected to atrocious pseudo-medical experiments before being hanged by the SS in the basement of the Bullenhuser Damm school in Hamburg. After the war, her cousin Henri Morgenstern and the FFDJF fought for justice and for a memorial in Germany for those children.
