Fela NAJMAN was 16 at the time of the Vel
d'Hiv roundup, which she escaped. A few days later, on July 21, after an
identity check at the entrance of the apartment house at 70 faubourg
Poissonnière, policemen brought her back to her home, 31 cours de
Vincennes (20th arr.), to get her belongings and take her to Drancy. Her
parents went to police headquarters to try to get their daughter freed; they
were arrested. They were deported and Fela followed them on
convoy 22 of August 21, 1942. |
