The PLOTKINE family lived in Paris at 37 rue Simart (13th arr.). They were all arrested during the Vel d'Hiv roundup, except for an older daughter, Mina, who had just gotten married and had left for vacation. The father, Hersch, was deported on convoy 13 of July 31, 1942, and the mother, Esther, on convoy 14 of August 3. The other two children, Rachel, age 15, and Flora, 8, both born in Paris (18th arr.), followed them on convoy 24 of August 26, 1942.
