Hélène and Emile RAJCHSZAJD were 6 and 3 years old, respectively, when they were deported to Auschwitz on September 7, 1942, on convoy 29 – Emile turned 3 on the day of deportation. They lived in Montreuil, near Paris, at 9 rue Garibaldi. Their mother, Frajdla, arrested with them, was deported from Pithiviers on convoy 16 of August 7, 1942, and their father, also from Pithiviers, on convoy 6 of July 17, 1942.
