Colette-Corinne REVAH was born on July 22, 1929, in Marseilles, where she lived at 52 cours Julien in the Plaine district. She was deported on convoy 71 of April 13, 1944, with her brother Albert, age 18, and their father, Jouda. A member of the family sent us this picture showing the children with their mother, Louise, a few days before their arrest, along with a letter: "... Our aunt lost her husband, her daughter of 14 and her son of 18 in Auschwitz. Her daughter was taken as she was leaving school, her husband at his place of work, her son at home, all the same day; the mother was able to escape because she was at the hospital for an examination. They came to get her at the hospital and the nurses said that she was in the operating room, which was not true. They said that they would come back to get her in the afternoon and the hospital immediately put her somewhere safe. All this is atrocious. For years my aunt looked for her family, because she had no proof that her children and husband were dead. Her life was spent looking for them in vain. She died under this terrible burden."
