Born in Strasbourg on October 9, 1935, Gilbert
STESSIN was arrested on April 6, 1944, in Condat-sur-Vexère
(Dordogne) in central France, with his grandparents, Simon and Chaja. He had
gone there to join them for Easter vacation, leaving Périgueux where his
parents and sister were. He was arrested on the same day as the children from
the Izieu home, and was deported with them on April 13, 1944, on
convoy 71. |
