									  Translation of letter: "
Little Annette Teik (or Teig or Tayk/Tajk), arrested in Paris, was
deported with her parents, Jacob and Emma Teik. She was five years old. (Vel
d'Hiv roundup?) They were marvelous people, very kind. Happy, comfortably off
(in leather goods), interested in art and literature. Their only sorrow was not
to have any children. After 15 years, Annette was born. It is easy to imagine
how this only child who had been so long yearned for was adored and spoiled....
I saw her and I kept these touching pictures. (I was 9 at the time.) ... Bravo
and thank you for reproducing this." |
