Floride WEINDLING was born on July 26, 1938, in Antwerp. She was living under house arrest in Rennes-les-Bains (Aude) when she was arrested with her parents, Jozef and Franciszka, in the big roundup of foreign Jews in the Vichy Zone on August 26, 1942. They were first interned at Rivesaltes, the Drancy of the Vichy Zone, in September 1942, and then sent to the Occupied Zone. She was deported with her parents on September 11, 1942 on convoy 31.
