Harvey ZILBERSTEIN was born in Levallois-Perret, on the outskirts of Paris, on April 17, 1939. His mother, Betty, was English. They lived at 26 rue Cardinet in Paris (17th arr.). The police came to arrest his father, who had gone to the Free Zone in the south with Harvey's older brother. His mother's passport was torn up by the Gestapo, and they were deported together on convoy 67 of February 3, 1944.
