Bernard ZYLBERBERG was born on September 13, 1929, in Warsaw. He lived at 10/12 rue des Deux-Ponts in Ile Saint-Louis in Paris. After the deportation of his parents and his brother and sisters, David, Zelda, and Paulette, following the Vel d'Hiv roundup, he was taken in by some neighbors. The police came to arrest those same neighbors, but did not particularly want to take Bernard too, since his name was not on the list of people to be arrested. However, Bernard chose to leave with the neighbors in order to be reunited with his family. He was deported on convoy 37 of September 25, 1942.
