The picture of the little girl holding a bucket is
perhaps the only trace left of Fanny BOSCHERNITZAN, born on August 23,
1929, in Paris (14th arr.). She was arrested in Authon (Loir-et-Cher),
northwest of Tours, and deported with her younger siblings, José,
age 7, and Christian, 1, and mother, Clara, on
convoy 65 of March 7, 1944. Her father,
Willy, had gone to join the Free French via Spain; he returned with de Lattre's
army and found not one member of his family alive. |
