The RABINOWICZ family lived at 39 boulevard Magenta in Paris (10th arr.). Aron, the father, had been deported from Beaune-la-Rolande on convoy 5 of June 28, 1942; Fajga, his wife, arrested during the Vel d'Hiv roundup with three of her children, was forcibly separated from them and deported from Pithiviers on August 7, 1942, on convoy 16. Three of her children followed her from Drancy on convoy 24 of August 26, 1942: Albert, age 13; and Charles, 12, both born in Warsaw; and Marcel, 8, born in Paris. The oldest of the children, Isaac, 15, was arrested in the street during a roundup and was deported on convoy 36 of September 23, 1942.
