Léon ROTSZTEJN (ROCHETIN) was 16 years old; his brothers Félix and Samy were 10 and 8 years old, respectively, in 1944. Their parents, Isaac and Minka, had been deported a year and a half earlier, on convoy 42. The three boys followed on convoy 68 of February 10, 1944. Only Léon survived (he died in 1992). In 1989, with the support of the municipality and the newspaper Courrier de l'Ouest, he erected a small monument in the Square de la Gare in Bressuire (Deux-Sèvres), in western France, with the names of the 17 Jewish victims from that town.
