Only Nathan escaped deportation. The oldest, Dora, was deported in 1942, as was her father. The mother was deported with four of her children, all born in Paris, on convoy 57 of July 18, 1943: Rebecca, age 15, for whom there is no photo; Maurice, 11; Jacques, 6; and the youngest, Claudine, 1.
