He was deported on convoy 34 of September 18, 1942. He lived at 51 rue Richer (9th arr.) in Paris. Some of the children shown in this autumn 1941 class picture from a Paris school on rue Léon Frot, at the corner of rue de la Roquette, were deported. The two who have been identified are Sylvain ALTMAN, who was born in Paris on May 3, 1926, and lived at 110 rue des Boulets (11th arr.); and Marc MENAHEM, who was born in Paris on December 18, 1929, and lived at 8 passage Courtois (11th arr.). Marc was deported on convoy 44 of November 9, 1942, following the roundup of Greek Jews, and Sylvain on convoy 46 of February 9, 1943.
