In March 1944, Alfred EISENBERG, age 16, wrote
on the back of this picture to a friend: In these uncertain days we are
living through, you have to go after life the way you go into battle.
Alfred was born on September 7, 1927, in Paris, but fled to Sassenage
(Isère), in eastern France. He was deported, not to return, on June 30,
1944, on convoy 76. |
