Carol PINKIERT was born on October 13, 1932, in Paris where he lived at 7 impasse des Chevaliers (20th arr.). He was deported with his mother, Rajza, on August 14, 1942, on convoy 19. His father, Hermann, followed them on convoy 40.   Benoit POLAK and his sister Simone were deported together on convoy 74 of May 20, 1944. Benoit was born on October 1, 1933, in Saverne (Bas-Rhin), and Simone on May 10, 1929, in Schirmeck (also in Bas-Rhin). They were arrested in Gevingey (Jura). Simone, transferred from Auschwitz to Bergen-Belsen in November 1944, was liberated in Theresienstadt and survived.
