Rosette                       Paulette

Paulette and Rosette WIDAWSKI were 14 and 12 years old, respectively. They were born in Lorraine. Their mother, Frajda, was deported on convoy 11. The two girls were transferred from the Ecrouves camp to Drancy, but from there were sent to the UGIF children's home in Montreuil. They were arrested there on July 22, 1944. Since their father was a prisoner of war, they were deported not to Auschwitz but to Bergen-Belsen, from which they returned. (Photo cr: Mj-Pp).
