Cécile Hella |
Paulette ZAYDMAN (first row,
second from left) is the only person in this photo to have escaped arrest.
Her mother, Dina (second row, left) and her sister Hella
(second row, right, wearing the star), 15, were deported on
convoy 40 of November 4, 1942. Also
deported on that convoy was Cécile ROGENSTEIN (second row,
center; in the white dress), born on January 21, 1935, in Metz (Moselle);
her mother; and her brothers Michel, 11, and Salomon, 7. They were all arrested
in Salles-Lavalette (Charente). |
Bernard KUPERMAN was born September 17,
1941, in Angouleme, in east-central France. He was arrested in that area in
Auriac-de-Bourzac (Dordogne), and was deported on
convoy 40 of November 4, 1942. |
