The five SZNURMAN children were all deported following the Vel d'Hiv roundups. The 15-year-old twins, Chaskiel and Moszek, born on May 10, 1927, in Czestochowa, were sent off first, on convoy 14 of August 3, 1942. Henri, 10, born in Brussels; Nicole, 6, born in Paris; and Rosette, not yet 3, also born in Paris, were deported two weeks later on convoy 20 of August 17, along with their mother, Szyfra. The family lived in Paris at 5 bis rue Saint-Gilles (3rd arr.).
