                                               Alain                               Claude

Claude FRANCK was almost 11 years old when he was deported; his brother Alain was 5. Both were born in Dijon. They were arrested in Albertville (Savoie), where they lived at 106 boulevard de la République. Behind them, from right to left: their mother, Yvonne, their cousin Simone, their aunt Andrée, and their cousin Jeanine. Andrée and her two daughters were deported on convoy 70 of March 27, 1944; Yvonne and her two sons on convoy 71 of April 13, 1944. Of the six people in this photograph, only Simone survived deportation.
