This photograph was taken at the UGIF Fillettes ("Little Girls") Center in Saint-Mandé, in October 1943. We have identified some of the girls deported on convoy 77 of July 31, 1944: Rosette KRIMOLOVSKI (second row, first from left), 13 years old, was the only one of the 19 children deported to survive. Her sister Florette (second from right, top row) was 12.
Three KORMAN sisters were deported: Mireille (top row, first from right), age 12, born in Thionville; and Henriette, 5, and Jacqueline, (first row, fouth and fifth from right), 7, born in Hayange.
Denise LEMEL (first row, second from left), 10, and her sister Rachel (third row, first from left), 12, were both born in Paris.
Louisette (Lea) GRYCMAN (third row, second from left), 12, and her sister Nanette (first row, first from left) (Anette), 10, were both born in Paris.
Liliane RATZ (second row, third from left), 10, was born in Sarreguemines; Mona CZARKA (second row, fourth from left), 11, was born in Brussels.
Marie KRAJZELMAN (first row, third from the right), 8, was born in Paris.
