morality from the German authorities, we demand her release from an administrative imprisonment, an imprisonment that is entirely under the control of the executive authority. But more than this, we deliberately ignore completely all questions of legal formalities, of who is eligible to appeal and who is empowered to release. We turn to the German governmental authorities and public representatives as the authorized representatives of the Jewish people, the victims of Nazism, on the highest plane of morality: Do justice, and in the words of the prophet Isaiah – "Your hands are filled with blood, wash yourselves, remove the evil of your deeds, refrain from evil, learn to do good, seek justice."

The Jewish people shows its gratitude to its benefactors today. The Committee decided at its meeting to appeal to the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany in order to procure the immediate release from prison of Mrs. Klarsfeld and the ratification of the agreement between the Federal Republic of Germany and France concerning judgment of Nazi criminals. The Committee considers that it is the moral duty of the Federal Republic of Germany to sign and ratify similar agreements concerning the trial of Nazi criminals with other nations who were
