destroyed.
A total of 1,091 Jews were caught today in dug-outs; about 280 Jews were shot
in battle, innumerable Jews were destroyed in the 43 dug-outs which were blown up. The sum total of Jews caught has risen
to 49,712. Those buildings which had not yet been destroyed by fire, were set
on fire today and we discovered that a few Jews were still hiding somewhere
within the walls or in the staircases.
