The monument was erected during the communist years. It is
meant to bear a resemblance to a van.
On the right side of the monument the word "remember" is inscribed.
The left side is a stone-carving of a group of people suffering.
In the foreground is a cross which is a memorial for the children from the Czech
village of Lidice who were killed in Chelmno.
