Gracanica has been bombed!

The aggression against Yugoslavia is at the same time an aggression against the entire European and world cultural heritage, against tradition and far-reaching breakthroughs of modern civilzation. The twilight of modern civilization has entered its final stage. In its struggle to defend its historical heartland, Serbian people is exposed to unprecedented aggression of NATO power-wielders, whose aim is to destroy the whole people, along with its national, cultural and spiritual heritage.

Gracanica has been bombed! The pearl of the Serbian cultural heritage, the center of Serbian spirituality, cultural and historical monument of global importance, has showered with bombs of NATO criminals.

Serbian state was established in Kosovo, a thousand years ago. It was in Kosovo that Serbs stopped the advancing Ottoman horeds six centuries ago, and in Kosovo they have some 1.800 historical monuments, dating all the way back to the Middle Ages.

So much history is concentrated at such a little space.

Gracanica has been bombed!

The monastery, built in the 14th century as an epitome of Byzantine art, famous for its beauty, has survived the bombing, just like so many times before.
