Problem of "mass murders"
Mass "graves" as claimed by NATO |
One of the hottest topics in this conflict is surely NATO
Alliance's claim that there are definite proofs of the mass murders of the Albanian
civilians from Kosovo by the Serbian forces. Using this claim, NATO is trying to show
Serbian soldiers in the worst possible light, as barbarians and cold-blooded murderers.
Readers have severely reacted to the series of texts covering this topic, and immediately
proclaimed Serbs criminals. A possibility of NATO ground troops intervention is now openly
considered as an eventual protection of the remaining Albanians against a massacre.
Another consequence is a larger number of strikes upon different targets in Yugoslavia,
which are explained by the necessity to destroy the military ability of the Yugoslav
Army.
Most of the chosen targets are not military, but civilian
ones, but this fact has been absolutely neglected and no one feels any responsibility
since media are busy with stories of mass murders on Kosovo. The growing number of
civilian victims attacked by NATO bombing has been mentioned rarely at a few places, while
death cases of Albanian refugees have been discussed at large. After NATO Alliance have
admitted their mistake and taken responsibility for the death of a great number of
Albanians in a refugee convoy, news of the death of a few Albanians on the
Yugoslav-Albanian border have been reported immediately afterwards, with no report at all
of the true story about a three year old Serbian girl killed in Batajnica near Belgrade
during the NATO strike. Serbian Army has been accused for the death of Albanian civilians
because they had mined the state border, despite the fact that our borders are constantly
attacked by the different terrorist groups from Albania.
At this moment, a number of 4.000 murdered civilians from Kosovo
who are, it was reported, buried in the mass graves, has been manipulated with. Satellite
and video shots of "graves" have been shown, only supposed, even by NATO, to be
"mass graves". Unfounded information is afterwards used by media as the source
for the worst media manipulations. It is interesting that all information supplied by NATO
is believed in with no checks of their validity whatsoever, while all Yugoslav news are
checked in detail and, almost always, refused as unsupported.
Most media from the Western countries keep repeating in
their informative programs "witness stories" with no video shots or even sound
tracks whatsoever. And when a video tape "suddenly" appears, there is no trace
of mass murders in it, but only pictures of some corpses, usually male, said to be
civilians murdered in the "massacres done by the Serbian police". All the while,
they all keep ignoring the fact that almost all male Albanians fit for the military
service who do not consider themselves loyal citizens of the Yugoslav state are fighting
on the side of illegal terrorist KLA, armed by the modern weapons. Happenings on Kosovo
are often told about by the Kosovar refugees which they have supposedly seen or, often,
heard about from someone. At the times of high technology, media equipped with it base
their stories on the unsupported information sources. Yugoslavia is also blamed for
forbidding regular stay to the journalists in the war zone, although NATO Command has done
the same in Iraq during the "Desert Storm" operation. No one commented the state
censorship of media then, although it was an attack of the freedom of press.
No one can deny there have been murders on Kosovo, like in
every other war. The only question here is who has been murdered, and how. Many western
media have claimed at the beginning of the war on Kosovo that the refugees were only women
and children. It was reported that men had been separated from their families and beastly
tortured and murdered. A short time afterwards, however, it was confirmed that there were
many men fit for military service at the concentration camps, and the best proof of it was
the mobilization of the very same men at the refugee camps in Albania.
The fact is that many men have really stayed on Kosovo. But not as
the victims of terror, but as the members of the illegal, paramilitary KLA forces fighting
against the Yugoslav security forces. There is no single country in the whole world that
tolerates armed rebellion and terrorism. Terrorists are arrested by the army and police
during their actions, and if they offer armed resistance during the arrest, they often die
during such actions. That is exactly what has been happening on Kosovo, as in Northern
Ireland or Israel. It is definitely true that a great number of Albanians have been killed
during armed fights against the stronger Yugoslav forces. According to the sources from
the spot, the main forces that are training Albanians for resistance are American and
German military forces.Training them in expert skills and modern weapons, they are trying
to enforce the KLA position which is not enviable at the moment.

KLA position which is not enviable at the moment. There are no proofs of mass murders of
civilians whatsoever, however, there are many official reports of them. Many independent
sources around the world are giving their opinion that such stories are just a cover for
the military action in Yugoslavia which, anyway, lacks international and legal legitimacy.
Many media also give evidence of the factually large number of bombings of the civil
targets on Kosovo, mostly in zones with Albanian citizen, forcing them to leave their
homes, and this is later used as an excuse for the strikes and pressure on Yugoslavia. The
latest such case was the bombing of the refugee convoy of Albanians returning to Kosovo
last week, which was the greatest mass murder in this war - 85 positively innocent
civilians were killed. After two days of denial and lies that the massacre was done by the
Yugoslav forces, NATO command finally admitted their crime. All analysts agree that it was
an intended bombing planned to persuade refugees not to return to Kosovo.
Mass graves and supposed planned murders of civilians are
still an unproved thesis. Many similar claims in the recent past, in the wars in Bosnia
and Croatia a few years ago, of the supposed massacres of civilians (for example Markale)
by local Serbs have been officially denied by many international media and organizations,
and even by the UN. Now, the same story is being repeated in almost identical context.
