Visiting day during a brief period in the summer of
1941 when internees in the Loiret camps of Pithiviers and Beaune-la-Rolande
were allowed Sunday visits by their families. A professional German
photographer captured poignant moments from those visits. (The original
photographs are in the federal archives in Koblenz, Germany. Some have been
reproduced in 1941 - Les Juifs en France - Préludes à la
