We will never know whether they had the final joy of reuniting with their children on the ramp at Birkenau and holding them close in their arms before their deaths in the gas chambers. Deportees in this group are listed by boxcar. Here "car" refers to the cars of the train from Pithiviers to Drancy.

Car 1 – 49 children and 9 adults. Among the children were many brothers and sisters. Children without parents included three Bekas, Bernard (9), Henri (4), and Charles (2); three sisters Rotszgen, Anna (15), Rose (12), and Jeanne (9); three Blumbergs, Isaac (13), Jacqueline (7), and Ginette (4); Michel (9) and Jacqueline (7) Kaczyk; Céline (12) and Simon (10) Rajcensztajn; Micheline (13) and Henri (9) Taubenhaus; Albert (11) and Rene (7) Kaplan; Sarah (9) and Marcel (6) Fikman; Hélène (12) and Max (10) Berger; Marie (12) and Samuel (10) Barbanel; Simon (8) and Cécile (3) Koza.

Car 4 – 1 child, Robert Goldberg, 3 years old.

Car 5 – 4 children, Georgette (7) and Bernard (5) Tennenbaum; and Emile (7) and Jacques (5) Rozenberg.

Car 6 – 10 children. Among them were the four Pupkovicz children, Fernande (12), Charles (10), Georges (8), and Gilbertine (5), accompanied by their mother, Chana (45).

Cars 8 and 9 – 3 children.

Car 10 – 2 children, René (11) and Maurice (9) Lesz.

Cars 11 and 12 – 8 children, among whom were Henriette (10) and Annette (4) Fuks; and Louise (10) and Rachel (4) Schwarcz.

Car 13 had 5 children and car 14 had 3.

Car 15 – 20 children, among them two sets of 12-year-old twins, André and Chaja Marsky, and Nathan and Jacques Halatnikoff. Also, Joseph (12) and David (10) Weingarten; and David (11) and Salomon (6) Kaluszynski.

Car 16 – 47 children and 4 adults. This group included three Nuden children, André
