Convoy 38 deported 101 children, 56 boys and 45 girls. All but 13 had
been born in France. Most of them about 80 had Romanian parents
and were captured in the roundup of September 24. There are ten sublists.

at 10 Rue des Deux Ponts, Ile Saint Louis, in Paris. They included the
Adoner family, Mordka (55) and Marja
(49), and their six children, Salomon (22), Rebecca (21), Samuel (17), Henry
(13), Lisette (11), and Zizi (5); and Rojza Wiorek and her four children, Isaac
(20), Freina (15), Marcel (14), and Soida (5).

25 names. Children included Henri (11) and Suzanne (7) Lustyk; and
Claire (19) and Claude (7) Diamant.
Convoy 39, September 30, 1942 (Drancy)
Convoy 39
left Drancy with only 211 deportees, including 8 children. The Gestapo did not
wish to set a precedent by canceling a train whose quota was unfilled because
French police had not supplied enough Jews. The departure telex stated: "The
convoy embarked, although for the moment there were only 211 Jews who could be
sent off. This transport is absolutely necessary for reasons of politics and
prestige, since several French offices tried until the very last moment to
prevent this last transport envisaged for September."

Convoy 40 deported 143 children under 18, 72 boys and 71 girls.
