This picture, taken in 1940, shows the Jewish children who were evacuated to an OSE house in Boularis, on the Côte d'Azur. Most of these girls have not been identified. Some were deported, including Sarah LICHTSTEIN, who survived Auschwitz; her photograph is included separately in this book. Annie JANOVSKI was arrested at 40 rue Claude Terrasse (16th arr.) in Paris with her Russian-born parents, during the Vel d'Hiv roundup, and deported with them on convoy 15 of August 5, 1942. She was born in Berlin on March 28, 1929.
