Léa KUPERBERG and her three children
were deported on February 11, 1943, on convoy
47. Henri (David) was not yet 2 years old; he was born on September
19, 1941, in Paris. Esther would
soon be 10; and the oldest, Fajga
(Fanny), born in Warsaw, was 13. They lived at 58 rue Crozatier, an apartment
house in the 12th arr., from which more than one hundred Jews left to go
to their death. Other buildings crowded with Jewish families who were rounded
up together include 72 rue Claude-Decaen (12th arr.), 10-12 rue des
Deux-Ponts (4th arr.) (see Léon and Huguette Klein,
page 881), and 5-7 rue Corbeau (10th
arr.). |
