During the roundup of September 14, 1942, which was especially focused on Bulgarian Jews, the MAYER family was arrested, deported, and annihilated. In front are the two boys: Marcel, born on September 27, 1927, in Sofia; and Benjamin, born on December 13, 1931, in Paris (20th arr.). Next to parents Joseph and Anna are the two older daughters, Djamba (Jeanne), 21, and Djoia (Juliette), 19. The family lived in Bagnolet, near Paris, at 150 rue Robespierre. All of them were deported on convoy 33 of September 16, 1942.
