Daniel and Jacques VIGDERHAUS were born
in Paris on June 3, 1930, and September 14, 1933, respectively. They were
arrested in Nîmes (Gard) in southern France, where they lived at 94 route
d'Arles. Transferred to Drancy on May 1, 1943, they were deported on
convoy 55 of June 23, 1943, with their
parents, uncles, and grandparents (a total of 9 people), on the June 21 order
of Brunner. In a note from German authorities, that order placed the Vigderhaus
family on the deportation list "since Captain Brenner [sic] considers that the
surgery carried out on the child yesterday morning, was done solely to prevent
the family's departure." |
