Léon and Sarah ZELISZEWSKI were born on January 12, 1926, and April 23, 1930, respectively, in Paris, where they lived at 48 rue Godefroy Cavaignac (11th arr.). Their mother, Ita, was deported on convoy 14. Léon and Sarah were deported on convoy 34 of September 18, 1942. Their father, Grunen-Georges, was probably deported on the same convoy: 160 names are missing from that convoy list, but he ended up in the same work camp as his son. Léon, the only one of his family to return in 1945, died in the mid-1980s. We do not know the name of his little brother on the left in the picture. He, too, was deported, probably on convoy 34.
