Mireille RAPPAPORT was born on October 29, 1932, in Poland. Her family lived as refugees in Nice with forged papers under the name of Goetz, born in Alsace. They lived at 15 rue d'Italie and were friends with the Klarsfeld family, who lived on the same floor in the same apartment house. In the night of September 30, 1943, the Gestapo seized the five members of the Rappaport family as well as Arno Klarsfeld, father of the author of this memorial. Mireille Rappaport (Marguerite Goetz) was deported on convoy 64 of December 7, 1943.
