| Four of the five GRYN children were deported
in August 1942; only the oldest survived. Fajga, born on July 21, 1926,
was deported first on convoy 14 of August
3, 1942; Jeanine, born November 1, 1928, and Jacques, born
October 2, 1929, on convoy 16 of August 7;
and Marcel, born December 15, 1932, on convoy 24 of August 26. The older children were born in in
Czestochowa, Poland; Marcel was born in Paris. The family lived at 5 rue Jean
Robert in Paris (18th arr.). |
