Lada (Léa) JANKIELEWICZ, born on October 3, 1925, in Warsaw, was deported on July 24, 1942, on convoy 10 with her sister Zysla (Gisèle), age 23. Their brother Mose (Maurice; shown on the right), age 18, born on May 24, 1924, was deported on July 31 with their parents, Szulim and Gitla, on convoy 13. Of all the people interned during the Vel d'Hiv roundup and deported, he is one of the few, with Samuel HEJBLUM (page 793), to have survived.
