The Holocaust History Project.

Hello. My name is XXX XXX. I have been given a school assignment that entails accessing information regarding the holocaust over the internet. One question we have to answer is who the author of each website is. Can you please help me? I've searched everywhere but cannot find who the author of this website is.

Thank you so much.

Richard J. Green answers:

I am one of the people who answers questions such as yours addressed to our questions service.

Although many of our articles are authored by individuals (the authors are noted in such articles), our website does not have a single author but rather a team of authors.

You can read about them at:

You can read more about our organization at: http://www.holocaust-history.org/questions/thhp.shtml

my name is Alev. I'm from Colorado. I am supposed to write a research paper in my US history class and I chose the topic "The Night of Broken Glass". As a source I used your short Essay "Why the Jews?" but I need to mention the name of the Author in my research paper. Could you please send me the name of the author and the year of the short Essay "Why the Jews?" ? Tank you, I would really appreciate it! BYE!

Harry W. Mazal OBE answers:

Thank you for your recent enquiry.

I am one of the volunteers at the Holocaust History Project that responds to questions from our viewers. It is possible that you will receive more than one answer from my colleagues.

Our short essays are written collectively by a team. There is no Author as such. You may describe authorship as:

"Collective authorship by members of the Holocaust History Project."

Yours sincerely,

Harry W. Mazal OBE

I am a middle school student doing a project on Germany and its history. It is required that we email sites to ask permission to use a picture on the site, so I would like to ask you if I could use one of your Adolf Hitler photos for a Power Point. If I am able to use the picture it will be included in a bibliography. Please email me back with your response as soon as possible.

Jamie McCarthy Responds:

I am one of the volunteers who answers questions for The Holocaust History Project.

You are welcome to use one or more photos from our website for educational purposes.

Please give credit for the source in a footnote or endnote -- for example, if you are using the photo at:

your credit might read:

_Hitler_, Herbert Walther, Ed., 1978, Bison Books, London, p. 94. As cited by The Holocaust History Project.

Thank you for writing to ask.
Jamie McCarthy
