Inhabitants of the village of
Laki near Bakhchisarai were in constant contact with partisan groups; they gave
them billets at night and supplied them with food. On 23 March a penal action
against this village produced such huge quantities of food that the partisans
would have been able to live on this until the next harvest. The 15 main

| The systematic mopping up of the
eastern territories embraced, in accordance with the basic orders, the complete
removal, if possible, of Jewry. This goal has been substantially attained
with the exception of White Russia as a result of the execution
up to the present time of 229,052 Jews. The remainder still left in the Baltic
Provinces is urgently required as labor and housed in
ghettos. |
