| partly armored concrete plates, 80 mm thick, had been pierced without
change in the E-metal bodies. Gaeng believes that some interest exists for such
a projectile, although there have not yet been any requests for incendiary
artillery ammunition. Koch suggested that B o 2 El, B 1 El, and B 4 El be shown
to Gaeng, who did not know them; and he will send, for this purpose, several
pieces from Rechlin to the Unterluess Testing Grounds where, from 9 to 12
February, other experiments will take place in the presence of both gentlemen.
I asked Gaeng to use our experience gained during the development of B El by
allowing us to take part in further experiments. This was supported by Koch.
Gaeng anticipated a further discussion. |
