13. Melun – 52 names. Children included Régine (9) and Gérard (5) Lewenberg; and four Maj children, Félix (13), Marthe (11), Victor (11), and Rachel (6).

14. Merignac – 69 names, including Albert Fogiel (6); and Burah (47) and Rachel Smil with their five children, Armanda (13), Roger (12), Marie (9), Léonie (6), and Alice (2).

15. Nancy – 142 names. In mid-October, 234 people had been interned in Ecrouves. This group, mainly French and Polish, was transferred to Drancy for deportation. Among them were Joseph Goldstein (58) from Luneville, deported with his eight children, Augusta (18), Albert (16), Paulette (15), Max (13), Salomon (11), Marcel (9), Joseph (8), and Léon (5); Moritz Steinberg and his four children, Hermann (18), Jacques (15), Joseph (13), and René (9); Schmul (48) and Chaja (43) Tepfer, and their five children, Marthe (17), Jacob (14), Irma (11), Lea (9), and Isaac (5); Ronia Zulberg (36) and her three children, Germaine (10), Paulette (8), and Léon (2). Children deported without parents included: Elie Hubermann (3); Thérèse Wichnitz (7); Anna (8) and Marcel (5) Reis; Esther (11), Henri (8), and Rachel (7) Kotlina; Zori (13), Anna (10), Rosa (8), and Jean (3) Mitkulowsky.

16. Rouen – 28 names, for the most part Romanian. Some were small children: Jacques Blumen (3); Monique (3) and Ari (9) Cofman; Jacques Rozental (8); Louis (10) and Sarah (7) Szwindler; and Henri Goldenberg (11).

17. Rivesaltes – 94 names, mainly Germans, Austrians, and Poles.

18. Last-minute additions – 16 names.

Convoy 44, November 9, 1942 (Drancy)

[A list labeled convoy 43 is actually a copy of the convoy 45 list.]

Convoy 44 deported 161 children, 69 boys and 92 girls. They came mainly from the big roundup of Greek Jews conducted in Paris on November 5, in which 1,060 were arrested, including 173 children. Roundups in the department of Seine-et-Oise, near Paris, contributed 20 children to this convoy. Most (130) of the children on convoy 44 were born in France; 27 were born in Salonica (Thessaloniki), Greece. The list for this convoy was divided into six sublists, the first four corresponding to the stairways at Drancy:

1. Stairway 1 – 323 deportees, all Greek. The Germans designated them as "Héllène." Their children born in France were not so designated, but were deported nonetheless. Among those children were Alain Cohen (1); Henriette Beja (2); Jacqueline and Josette Estroumsa (4-year-old twins); Michel Haim (4); Henri Pilo (4); Beatrice Mano (5); Sara Romano (7); Isaac Cohen (8); Rita Alfandari (10); Rita Arenos (11); Raphael Benveniste (14); and Erik Levy (11). Parents with children included Anna Cohen with her four sons, David (14), Esther (12), Renée (10), and Suzanne (8); Hena Hassan with daughters Rebecca (7), Renée (5), and Solange (1); Doudou Jacob
