| Simone and Thérèse
HERSZBEIN, shown here with their mother, Ida, in the Poitiers camp, were
deported on convoy 55 of June 23, 1943.
Simone was 3 years old, born on January 28, 1940, in Metz (Moselle); and
Thérèse was 1, born on January 16, 1942, in Chalais (Charente),
in western France. Before evacuation from Lorraine, they lived at 17 rue
Chambières in Metz. |
