1. Monthly report to Inco-Mond regarding the quantities of nickel
sold to individual German consumers of nickel.

Although it seems that, for the time being, the Military Economics Staff, on the basis of the discussion with Messrs. Euler and Meyer-Kuester, agrees that information as to the consumption of nickel by individual German purchasers of nickel (Krupp, D.E.W., et cetera) be passed on monthly to Inco-Mond or to Gardner in England, it should be discussed as soon as possible — perhaps on the occasion of the visit of Messrs. White and Hague to Frankfurt/Main on 7 April 1938 — that these reports to England should no longer be made in the hitherto detailed form. It should be pointed out that Berlin does not like to see such reports, and that, therefore, the long-range trend will be to import — at the expense of the imports of Inco matte— raw nickel from other sources which do not tie ticklish conditions of a military-economic nature to their delivery. Such a development would, in the long run, also be entirely against the interests of Inco itself. Mr. Meyer-Kuester will also inform Mr. Euler to this effect. Contact with the Military Economics Staff on this question is to be resumed only after the discussion of the subject with Mond
